22 Months
Well, at this moment, the only thing that is sticking out in my mind is LilliAnn standing in the sink, yep that's right. Bathroom sink that is, for those who don't already know this, our bathroom sink is freestanding, not very big with no counter space around it. While i was busy trying to get her down before she fell, i didn't have time for pictures. I found her rummaging through the medicine cabinet, taking everything she could find off the shelf. LilliAnn loves to play in the bathroom, turning on the sink and washing her hands, now that she has her own stool to stand on to reach. I often can find where she is, by hearing the sink facet being turned on. We got to get better at shutting the door. Because since i caught her the 1st time in the sink, again i found her 2 more times in less then 2 days.
Brittin told me LilliAnn is a typical girl, pampering her self, and totally being entertained by it. She will often go to her bed room, and bring me all her lotions, and want to put it all on. Her skin is normally dry, so i will squeeze a dot in each of her hands.....(both hands needed) and she will try and put it on her forehead, usually missing and getting in her hair. :) Then, on the back of her neck, she will even rub it into her hands. LilliAnn is very diligent about her grooming. She still loves her bath time, and lets me clean her ears with out any fuss. The only thing i have a struggle with is trimming her nails. Other then that she loves brushing her own teeth. And just being "all clean"
One thing that isn't so "all clean" ...the bathroom could possibly be officially labeled DANGER ZONE for LilliAnn, the other day i also found one of her board books, soggy with water lying on the floor. Guess who decided to let her potty book go for a swim in the toilet.....yep. It took me a moment to realize how the book got so "wet" i even was checking the toilet and the sink for leaks!! At least she fished it out, and didn't try to flush it, who knows what might be next!
While we are on potty talk. LilliAnn likes to sit on the potty. When we first tried her on, she automatically wanted off. Now she will request to go "poo-poo" Altho we haven't had success yet. I'm excited she at least willing to sit on the potty. She's even found away to delay her bedtime, luckily it only lasted 3 nights!! After our bed time routine, we layed her in bed, she would jump up and yell to us "poo-poo, poo-poo" LilliAnn do you have to go potty? In which she replied "okey"
"Okey" is her answer to anything she wants or agrees with. LilliAnn do you want to _____ "Okey"
LilliAnn are you ready to _____ "Okey" LilliAnn do you want _____ to eat? "Okey"
Soon LilliAnn will be at her 2 year Dr. appt. I'm excited to her her stats and percentages.
LilliAnn blows me away with all the things she can do. Her Sunday school teachers are quite impressed by how many animals she knows. Let's see if I can think of all of them. I will def. need to get a movie clip of her "making" all the animals noises too. She's soo smart.
Dog - "Kitty-Cat" - Frog - Owl - Horse - Pig - Duck - Cow - Bird - Elephant - Tiger/Lion -
Other sounds she knows. Car - "beep-beep" Train - "choo-choo"
Ok, so it's late, and i can't think of many right now, i may have to add to the list later. :)
When we are ready to leave or go "bye-bye" She will tell everyone and everyTHING "Bye-bye"
Bye-bye water, Bye-bye ball, Bye-bye, Bowser, Bye-bye Kitty-cat, Bye-bye chair, Bye-bye rocks. You get the adorable idea. She's so thoughtful! :)
One of the most enjoyable things I'm totally in love with is... her hugs and kisses, she freely gives these out, and her sweet little arms wrapped around my neck, is VERY heart melting. She puckers up her little lips and gives kisseys. She will take turns between Mommy and Daddy going back and forth giving us lovin'. I LOVE it!! Truly, hands down my favorite.
She already is showing a heart after God. She likes to pray, "DEAR" she will start off with all her prayers. We try to keep things simple for her. Dear, Jesus thank your for my____ and fill in the apporite word. Breakfast.... snack....Lunch.... Dinner. "Amen" she says.
Our night routine, jammies, brushing teeth, Devotions, LadyBug nightlight, and Prayer, she will sit one of ours laps, squnit her little eyes, and pray, "DEAR" We will say thank you for, she says "daddy, mommy, bow-bo, kitty-cat" We will usually finish saying thank-you for my bed to sleep in and food for my tummy. I love you. "AMEN"
Oh, I almost forgot! Mother's Day!! What a nice cloudy, drizzly day. Ok, so it was a bit on the cold side, but it didn't stop us from making our trip to the Snoqualmie Falls. I would like to make it "Tradition" to go every mothers day. LilliAnn really liked looking at the water. And most of all splashing in puddles. We bundled up and enjoyed a nice lunch together and spending time with one another as a family. We are truly blessed.
