18 month Check-up Complete
Well, our little girl is officially a Year and a half. Wow, it's so amazing to look back at her week old pictures and to think about all the things she can do now. I have been working on a picture book for LilliAnn, that will document her first year, of all her firsts and just loads of pictures of all of just her, and all the people who love her. I've even started her 2ND year book.
We have been truly blessed with a little girl, who has a giving heart, and a ganturee to make us smile everyday.
This past Monday was her routine checkup. She did VERY well for the doctor, and even gave him smiles. We brought a book along with us, to help keep her distracted while we waited, it was a bee book. Dr. Clapper saw it, and asked her about the bees, and she pointed out every bee on the page, while he went to listen to her heart with his stethoscope, he made a buzzing noise when it touched her, she thought that was pretty funny. He told us she is growing about exactly the same as last time, she still is in the 9% for her weight, which she finally broke 20 lbs, and now weight 21lbs. Still in the 40ish% for her height. I wrote this stuff down, i need to go look it up. She grew 1% on her head. (this is because she is smart, and needed more room to fit more in it) :)
10 days ago,(before her Dr. apt) we returned to the doctors office, she was not feeling herself again, i had left work early that day to be with her, and made her an apt. when i got home, they fit her in there after hours, which I'm glad they did, she had her first ear infection, along with a stomach virus. So she got prescribed her first antibiotic. With a little bit of Motrin, and by the 3rd day she was feeling sooo much better. Praise the Lord.
She did the most sweetest thing in the world this past Sunday after church, and made Brittin and I laugh because it was so adorable. Walking to our car she was holding a piece of banana bread, and Brittin's hand when she quickly realized she also wanted to hold my hand as well, we stoped, so she could switch the banana bread into her other hand so she could grab mine, then also reaching for daddy's with her banana bread in hand, then watching her think, stitch the banana bread again so she could hold his hand, then realizing she could not hold both of our hands AND the bannana bread, she switched hands about 4- 5 times till, daddy held on to her wrist with the hand holding the banana bread. TOO CUTE! :)
Things she is saying, ...well usually when you ask her to say something she will try to say it, in her very own cute way. She is getting better at names, she will see a picture, let's say of momma and daddy, she will point it out, and say our correct names. "momma" "daddy" over and over, it is very endearing.
Her favorite snack right now it's Ritz crackers, she can gobble up half a package in no time if we don't watch her. She knows where the snack drawer is, and often times helps herself.
Which reminds me, the other day i was in the kitchen washing dished when, she came, helped her self to some crackers, throwing the empty box on the floor after grabbing out a package of crackers, I reached out for one of her little bowls from the same drawer, and placed about 5 crackers inside, she left for awhile to eat them, and after she was done, she came back to "put away" her bowl back in the drawer, and then picked up the box she had threw on the floor and placed it ....ready.....in the recyclable box!! WOW, she sure knows how to impress her momma! :)
She also loves to give Bowser treats, she also knows where we keep his treats and will go fish out the 3lbs bag, carry it over to daddy, so he can open it, and she will grab one....and try for two treats for Bowser. Bowser often times is always at her heals, hoping she will drop whatever she may be snacking on. Sometimes even helping himself. She likes to lay on his bed. And also likes to lay her head on him, and she will say "awwww" while doing it. We normally say this anytime she does something cute (which is allot) or when she shows affection.
Her favorite show right now is "Blues Clues" while often time she will watch all of it, she sometimes will leave and come right back to it. Her favorite parts are anytime Steve starting singing. She will get the biggest smile on her face.
Her favorite books are My Little Animal book, and My First Word book. She will ask "that?" and we will tell her what she is pointing to. We are at the point when we can ask her where the ladybug is and she can show us, or the duck, or the .... she is really good at identify what the pictures are.
She is also good at "copying" i will put my hands on my head, and then ask her can you put your hands on your head and she will do it, can you touch your toes...can you clap. All in a row, i was impressed that she was able to copy (understand) to do this.
It also snowed a couple times this month, i would sit her in her high chair, and asked her if she wanted to look at the snow. Then next day she would point at the window and say "snow"
Allot of days she will say "bye-bye" we think that she wants to go somewhere, but even first thing in the morning she will say "bye-bye, bye-bye" We try and give her car rides, normally to go visit a family member, or when we need to run a errand. I am looking forward to the nicer weather to return, as we hopefully will take more walks then.
After our walk today, we brought in her stroller, she then paraded around the house pushing the stroller, and even loaded it up, with about 5 of her stuffed animals. This was a first for her, i thought it was pretty cute. (we normally have the stroller put away)
Bed time is still around 8PM. She is a very good sleeper and will wake up anytime between 7:30AM and 8:30AM. She still takes at least 1 nap, depending on how early she wakes sometimes we can squeeze in 2 naps.
On a funnier note, LilliAnn is offically a year and a half, and recived her FRIST credit card appiclation from Citi. While they may think she is ready, momma is not.
Well i think that pretty much sums up, LilliAnn growing up for now. I just feel so blessed that the Lord gave her to us to take care of her. She is a wonderful addition to our family. And i am so thankful for her. My prayer for her is for her to grow up loving and serving the Lord. Thank you for all your prayers. And my the Lord Bless you.
