What a wonderful day, to be reminded about how many wonderful things the Lord has given us. Al tho it's just not 1 day a year to celebrate being thankful, but 1 day out of the year to spend time together with family and friends near and far to be thankful together. For life breathed into us, and the loved ones close to us, and the loved ones in our hearts. We could reflect on things we don't have or people who are not here, but to put in perspective we have the things we need and the people who may not be here to share with, are right where God wants them. Happy Thanksgiving!
Well LilliAnn is 16 months old, and she has many new surprises to share with you. First of all about 3 days ago, she had fun in the snow for the 1st time. All bundled up in a snow suit that my manger pass down to us, she was able to stay toasty warm. Snow angels and a snowman might have to wait till next year, but until then, walking around is plenty.
Also in the same day, while she was running away from a nap, she tripped and fell, and got her first bleeding owie, and bloody lip, in a instant she was swooped up, brought to the bathroom, and a wash rag, was wiping her lower lip. Al tho she cried, it wasn't long till a quick prayer was said, and Baby Einstein was turned on to distract her.
She is almost a 1 napper baby, sometimes depending on our schedule, we can squeeze in two naps, but for the most part, 1 nap does it justice.
She is starting to repeat allot more words these days, we will ask her LilliAnn can you say....
and she will often times in her own way say it. I try to catch some of this on video clips, but sometimes we just savor the moment. Just this morning we were sharing a bagel. Lilliann can you say bagel? "Gog-gole" she is just too cute. Also last Sunday we were on our way to church. LilliAnn can you say church? "ur-ch" Great Job baby!
I want to say shes hit at least the 20lbs mark...she has to by now at least...right?
Last night me and Brittin enjoyed a date night alone together. Movie and Dinner, it was just perfect. Grammie, Papa, and Grandma watched LilliAnn. And Grandma shared with her dinner, Mac and Cheese with Broccoli, and an apple desert. She get this shared or should i say given to her almost every time she comes over to Grandmas house. Grammie heats it up, and Grandma feeds it too her. Yummy! To my surprise Grandma squeezes in a bite of broccoli, and it STAYS in LilliAnn's mouth. YAY! A green vegetable LilliAnn likes. It one of my top list of dislikes. But one of Brittin's top likes! But i am happy to say, I'm glad she likes it, better her then me...right!? She cleans up the dish in no time, all on her own, none left to share.
This will be LilliAnn's 2ND Thanksgiving, and we soon will be headed to Uncle Benjie and Aunt Julie's house for dinner, and maybe a little later Grandpa and Grandma Williams for dessert.
I'll leave this post short and sweet. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Lots of love, The Shauers
