Happy Birthday LilliAnn!
Well, it's official LilliAnn turned the big 2!! Such a big girl she is becoming.
LilliAnn is such a huge blessing in our lives, and we couldn't imagine life without her adoring smile and giggle.
Her birthday party was wonderful, where lots of friends and family gathered to celebrate with her. We had a taco bar to feed everyone, which i thought would be fun rather then doing the traditional hot dogs and hamburgers. LilliAnn got spoiled with lots of gifts such as pots and pans, to a her sized baby stroller and 4 baby dolls, as well as many other things. It rained a little, a canopy was pitched up, some people stayed out side, while some stayed in doors. But overall, we are blessed by everyone who came out, to share the special day with her. *Pictures to follow*
On Monday July 18th, LilliAnn had her 2 year check-up which went very well. The doctor checked her ears, like most times he normally finds a little wax build up in there, so as he uses his special tool to get some of it out, she stays very still and is quite, but by the 4th time going in, she's had enough and starts to cry, i don't know if he accidentally got her, but she was done. After a bit, he is able to complete the exam. He hands me the paper and the stats are in.
LilliAnn is 23 lbs and 5 oz which puts her in the 9% and is 34 3/4" which puts her in the 75%
The doctor says she's tall and very slim. Oh, and her head is 18 1/2" in the 36%
When i shared this news with my co-workers, they said oh you need to write this down, there is suppose to be a theory if you take your child's heights at 2 years old, and do some type of math....not sure what it was it's suppose to estimate your height as an adult. So I'm curious to see how accurate this is. She's suppose to be 5' 9"!! Wow!! I'm only 5'1" and Brittin is 5 11" I guess only time will tell. We knew she already seemed long.....but still WOW, that's tall.
Have i mentioned how much a big fan LilliAnn has become of shoes! Yes, it's true she loves em, if you happen to come for a visit and leave your shoes at the door, don't be surprised it you find her trying to try them on. We even will go places, and sure enough she will find a pair to try on as well. We've recently bought her a new pair (that lights up) :) it seems her feet are growing, she already fits a size 6 shoe.
She's also gotten her 2 year pictures done, we took her to JCPenny's, and Gramie came along to watch. A very special treat. She did very well, and we got some pretty cute pictures.
LilliAnn can now count to 13 for almost a month now, without any assistants. And is getting allot better at saying her ABC's "E,F,G,H,I,J" and when you say most the letters she usually knows what comes next.
With a little saved up money we were able to get LilliAnn her own little kitchen set, which Brittin and I were up past midnight putting together maybe about 2 hours....it wasn't even an Ikea set....it was a more complicated then any Ikea set I've seen. But finally it's together and she seems to like it allot. She will take your finger and say "help me" I think she really wants someone to play with, because if you play a little bit and try to walk away, it's not long before she comes and finds you again, grabbing your finger to bring you over to her kitchen again.
Well, that's most of all I can think of for now. Until next time. God Bless.
